List of proteins specific to M. tuberculosis

A protein is specific to Mtu if it has no near orthologs in other species. To find such proteins, we used the OMA database. The OMA definition of ortholog is, however, quite strong[1], so exclusion from the following list doesn't mean there aren't homologs with the same function and a certain similarity score in other strains/species.

According to the database version 2009-Oct, there are about 100 orthologs specific in such sense to M. tuberculosis.
